Software Developer - Hightech ICT (September 2011-Present)
Hightech ICT is a company that hires software developers to other companies. My job is to work as a Java and C# programmer in projects that various companies provide.
Software Developer - SPS BV (September 2011-Present)
At SPS we are working on a solution for a warehouse management system (WMS).
On the factory floor the workers use handheld scanners that run a C# application to communicate with a server which is running a Java webservice.
The planners can use a GUI written in ICEfaces to assign jobs to the workers. The handheld scanners tell them where they should go and what they should do.
Serial Entrepreneur - Multiple privately held companies (December 2010-Present)
Graduation Internship Software Designer - Memoria Media (February 2011-June 2011)
This internship was for my graduation project. I worked on the V.I.P. (video internet pipeline) project as project leader, architect and developer.
The V.I.P. framework is a framework that enables custom build logic pipelines to run on multiple computers. The framework first forms a cloud with the provided computers, after which it will distribute individual nodes from a provided pipeline on it. The distribution will be done depending on the logic that the nodes execute, and the hardware running on the individual computers in the cloud.
The main goal of the V.I.P. framework is to make digital video processing easier to distribute over multiple computers. Of course it can also be used for other purposes.

Software Engineer/Architect Elidan/Plantema software package - Elidan & Plantema (February 2010-April 2011)
I had to work on a database management system for veterinarians, which quickly grew to multiple applications that communicate and synchronize over the internet.
For this project I designed multiple applications, a database layout and made a protocol for synchronization and communication between the applications. I mainly programmed using C#.
Presentator Roadshow First Lego League Benelux - Stichting Techniekpromotie (May 2011-December 2010)
My job was to travel from school to school doing a short presentation about the First Lego League, and then assist the children with assignments they could do with the Lego robots to get them excited about it.
I was also in the Jury at the region finals in Eindhoven.

Software Engineer Advanced Camera System - Memoria Media (July 2009-March 2010)
This project had a lot to do with video processing. It was needed to detect motion in a video stream, and react to this. Besides these aspects I designed a robust application from scratch.
It was really interesting to work on this project, and slowly seeing it grow.
Internship Software Engineer - TNO Automotive (September 2009-February 2010)
At my internship for TNO Automotive I had to work on the software package PreScan.
PreScan is a software solution to simulate traffic situations, and allows customers to test new software products in a virtual world. This way, the customer doesn’t have to pay for expensive real-life tests.
It was my job to take a good look at the PreScan trajectory editor. This allowed virtual cars to drive at certain speeds, but it was not precise enough for the current application. Eventually I made a system which allowed the user to define speed, acceleration, distance to other cars, and driving time to define a car’s behavior. It was even possible to define those parameters relative to other moving objects.

Software Engineer - Centrum IT Fontys University (March 2008-August 2009)
Centrum IT is an initiative of my university. The idea is that customers can get cheap software solutions, while the students working on them get the chance to familiarize themselves with working for real customers.
While working for Centrum IT, I made several high-level software solutions for various companies. It was here where i really got the chance to learn some programming skills.
